This month our special focus is Summer Holiday activities in the Deanery

Please pray for all those involved in these activities, safety, enjoyment and relaxation for all:

  • Arborfield and Barkham Family of Churches, young people 11-18yrs attending Summer Camps.
  • Churches together in Crowthorne Summer activities on the Morgan Recreation Ground Fri 27th July, Fri 3rd Aug, Fri 10th Aug, Fri 17th Aug. 2.30-5.00. Fun activities run by the people of Crowthorne – for the people of Crowthorne, Craft, Bouncy Castle, Climbing Wall etc.
  • Ruscombe & Twyford with Hurst Chattabox Holiday Club four-day holiday club being hosted at St Mary’s Church Twyford from 28th – 31st August each morning. For safety and fun for all involved, for the young leaders. And for the service on Sunday 2nd September to be well attended and that all the children we meet will get a glimpse of God’s love and what it means to follow Jesus.
  • St Eligius August 2nd Classical Lunch Time Concert with 2 pianists 12.30pm  and August 18th Teddy Bears Picnic on the New Watermans View Garden Village 12- 2pm
  • St Mary’s Wargrave, Holiday Club on 29th, 30th and 31st August 2018, 9.30am-12.30pm.  A NEW venture for 2018: three packed days of fun, games, crafts, activities and Bible teaching for 5-1-year olds.
  • St Sebastians Church Safari Holiday Bible Club for children aged 4 – 11 Monday 30th July to Thursday 2nd August.  9:30am to 12 noon St Sebastian’s School Hall Families invited from 12 noon to 1pm to eat a packed lunch together and to enjoy further activities. ALL FOR FREE!
    Woosehill Church, Superheroes Holiday Club, Wednesday 26th & Thursday 26th July 9.30am-3pm
  • Any other Camps and Holiday Clubs taking place in our area.
  • Finchampstead with California – Summer Sermon Series, the ‘I am…’ Sayings of Jesus. July 29th, I am the Light of the World, August 5th, I am the Bread of Life, August 12th, I am the Gate of the Sheepfold, August 19th, I am the Resurrection and the Life, August 26th, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
  • St John the Baptist Crowthorne Café more informal Eucharist in the Church Hall, Sunday 19th August, Theme ‘Bread of Life’.
  • Any other informal worship during the holiday period.

In the Deanery please pray for:

  • Those able to take holidays away from home, for safe travel and that activities will be safe and enjoyable, that all will return rested and refreshed for the autumn.
  • Those unable to take holidays because of finance or work commitments or other circumstances, that they will still find periods of rest and relaxation.
  • For any able to enjoy a holiday through the Mother’s Union ‘Away from it all’ (AFIA) holiday scheme.
