  • The progress on the spaceforall project as the reordering work continues in the church and that the final elements of funding will be found.
  • Discernment as we plan for its use when completed.
  • Becky’s ordination as a priest and for her growth into this ministry.
  • Chrispen Gumb’s completion of ordination training and placement at All Saints praying for him as he returns to his home diocese in the Caribbean, his ordination and first curacy there.
  • Our Church as we consider joining the Inclusive Church network with the visit of national co-ordinator Ruth Wilde in July.

In the Deanery, please pray for:

  • Revd Laura Downs and her family as Laura prepares to leave Portishead and take up the incumbency at St John the Baptist, Crowthorne.
  • All preparing to be ordained this summer, and in this Deanery, Richard Eves, St Mary’s Wargrave and Becky Medlicott.
  • Parishes in and preparing for a vacancy – St Sebastians, Winnersh and Bearwood, and Ruscombe, Twyford and Hurst, and for those who will be taking on additional responsibilities as a result to maintain the life of the Church.
  • Anna Harwood and her husband Andy as they leave Ruscombe, Twyford and Hurst to move to Cardiff where Anna will take up the post of Vicar.
  • The School Chaplains in the Deanery – Adrian Stark-Ordish (Wellington), Katie Toogood (Reading Bluecoat), and Adrian Laws (Ranelagh) as they move into the summer holiday.

In this country, please pray for:

  • All suffering financial hardship as a result inflation and the rise in the cost of living
  • The many groups seeking to care for the Ukrainian people arriving in this country by providing access to food banks, English language classes and help with form filling to give access to services and employment.

In the wider world, please pray for:

  • All involved in conflict in all parts of the world and those who seek to broker peace.

God our saviour,
look on this wounded world
in pity and in power,
hold us fast to your promises of peace
won for us by your Son
our Saviour Jesus Christ.
